Basingstoke Sports Centre is located in the heart of Festival Place – it is a vast fitness, leisure and sports complex spread over 7 floors and over 70,000 square feet. In addition to the huge 186-station mixed gym with functional training zone, are two swimming pools, three squash courts, a huge 5-badminton court sports hall and a separate ladies only gym ‘Shape’. It is also home to 3 studios, separate pedal studio and multi-activity room and a weekly programme of 100 group exercise classes, plus the ‘Play Den’ – a soft play area for children – and ‘Rendezvous Café’, the in-house café and deli which serves a large variety of delicious homemade dishes and hot and cold.
Basingstoke Discovery Centre
Basingstoke Discovery Centre is part of a new generation of libraries, located in the centre of Basingstoke. It is a vibrant community hub open to everyone, free to access and free to join.
We offer a wide range of services, including a large selection of books, audiobooks and magazines to borrow and eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines to download.
There is an exciting programme of events, including a host of regular events such as Rhymetime (one in Spanish too!), Story time, Code Club, Board Games and Construction Club for children; to name a few!
With a coffee shop too, it’s a great space to come and relax and enjoy all we have to offer.
Located inside the Festival Place shopping centre on New Market Square, Vue Basingstoke has 10 screens with approximately 2,166 seats.
This venue opens approximately 15 minutes before the first film of the day.
Anvil Arts is the largest performing arts organisation in Hampshire and runs The Anvil (concert hall), The Haymarket (theatre) and The Forge (studio). The Anvil is designed to be multi-purpose and has multiple stage formats. Its programme includes orchestral concerts, opera, ballet, comedy, live music, and pantomime. The packed programme at The Haymarket includes drama, children’s theatre, music, and comedy for all tastes.
