As part of the Great British Spring Clean, Basingstoke Together, supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, are launching the Basingstoke BIG Spring Clean!
The Basingstoke BIG Spring Clean will launch next Monday with a series of deep cleaning sessions around the Top of Town. This will include gum removal, cleaning of statues and decorative paving stones, jet-washing and treating granite paving to remove stains as well as general cleaning of other paving areas and alleyways.
These works will take place between 8-11th April (6pm – 2am) and include Wote Street, Church Street, London Street, Winchester Street, Market Place and Cross Street.
The Basingstoke BIG Spring Clean has been organised by Basingstoke Together BID and is fully funded by the grant awarded to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Your business can support the Basingstoke BIG Spring Clean by giving your premises a spring clean between 8th – 18th April. This could include washing down the windows, adding floral planters, touching up the paintwork or simply making sure your business shop front is clean and tidy.
We’d love to promote your business as taking part in the campaign so let us know when you’re planning to have your ‘spring clean’ and we will come along a take a few photos and add you to our digital marketing.
You can also tag your spring clean photos on social media using #BBSpringClean, #GBSpringClean or #LoveBasingstoke. We’ll be sharing your pictures on our @InBasingstoke Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
On Tuesday 16th April, Basingstoke and Deane’s Grounds maintenance team will be hosting a community spring clean in Glebe Gardens (Church Street). We are looking for local businesses to volunteer with weeding, pruning bushes, litter picking and general cleaning. The works will take between 8.30am – 12pm and you may volunteer for some or all of the time.
If you would like to register to volunteer, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
