The Sushi Maki brings unique flavours of Japan to Festival Place.

The Sushi Maki is bringing its award-winning food to Festival Place, Basingstoke, to join the shopping and leisure destination’s line-up of top brand restaurants.

Serving up the authentic taste of Japan in a unique, cosy atmosphere, The Sushi Maki opened yesterday (Thursday, December 12).

The restaurant has been a Good Food Award winner three years in a row and won a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award in 2016, 2017 and 2018, with a five-star rating on the reviews site.

On the menu is a wide range of tantalising sushi delights, including crunchy snow crab, a “Sunshine Roll” of salmon, prawn, crab meat, avocado, tobiko, and teriyaki sauce, and Butterfish Nigiri. The restaurant is running a special 20% off introductory offer to celebrate the opening (Monday to Friday, ends Dec 21, 2018).

Maria Frade, Restaurant Manager at The Sushi Maki, said: “We’re excited to be bringing our fresh and flavoursome Japanese food to Festival Place.

“Our Basingstoke restaurant has a seating capacity of 48 people – continuing our commitment to creating a cosy, intimate atmosphere where diners get to interact with each other and the staff.

“The freshness, quality of the food and relaxed atmosphere have made The Sushi Maki extremely popular and we’re looking forward to bringing the exact same thing to Festival Place in Basingstoke.”

Since 2015 Festival Place has signed 25 new leases and increased footfall by more than two million, taking its annual total to 22.4 million customers.

Last month Côte Brasserie opened in Festival Square, offering a modern take on all-day Parisian-style dining.
